What are the three stages of automobile parts wear?

+

Breaking-in period: This is the stage in which the surface irregularities of newly assembled parts are gradually worn away during the initial operation to form a smoother and wear-resistant working surface. The quality of the running-in period directly affects the overall service life of the car, as it is an important period for exposing and repairing defects that may exist during the production process.

Normal working period: In this stage, the wear rate of parts is relatively stable, which is mainly affected by factors such as its structure, usage conditions, and maintenance. Proper use and maintenance can extend the normal working period of parts.

Accelerated wear period: As time goes by, the car will inevitably enter the accelerated wear period. At this time, the wear rate is significantly accelerated, the frequency of failures increases, and the cost of repair and use also increases. This stage is also called the ultimate wear period.

Taking practical maintenance measures according to the wear patterns of parts, such as regular inspection, supply, lubrication, adjustment or replacement of parts, is the key to maintaining the good technical condition of the car.
